IFAWPCA, International Federation of Asian and Western Pacific Contractors’ Associations, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with FIDIC, the International Federation of Consulting Engineers, executed by Mr. Mohamed Ali Janah, President of IFAWPCA and Dr. Nelson Ogunshakin OBE, the CEO of FIDIC, at a Virtual Event held via Zoom on 19 January 2021. As part of this understanding, IFAWPCA members and FIDIC will establish resources to set up information dissemination platforms in their areas of expertise and carry out joint efforts to upgrade their respective brand influence and international reputation.

Maldives National Association of Construction Industry, MNACI is a member of IFAWPCA and National Federation of Maldivian Employers, NFME, of which Mr. Janah is currently the President as well. Mr. Janah stated “ … establishing a mutual relationship between our Federation and that of an Internationally acclaimed and widely accepted Federation such as the International Federation of Consulting Engineers, FIDIC, is of utmost importance in realizing our goals and will contribute in massive strength to further the worldwide construction community. Today, marks a milestone in the history of IFAWPCA and I am confident that the formalization of the relationship between both our prominent Federations will be extremely beneficial to all of us.”
